They chose the wrong RGS. THIS was THE PRICE they paid!
There is no shortage of fancy (and less fancy) studios and aggregators, or even casinos offering RGS services. “Create a game, and we will push it for you!” they shout. The best thing at this point is to stop, take a deep breath, and start asking unpleasant yet logical questions: How much will I make? How quickly? Take a look at the story of a once-promising, skill-based gaming studio that quickly pivoted to rushing RGS game creation…and failed miserably, because those unpleasant questions were not asked from the outset.
The reality hit like a brick
That "exclusive" partnership was a marketing trick. They were just one of 30+ other hungry studios shoved into a massive, stagnant pipeline. The "Big Casino" didn't care about their specific vision. Every request was met with "maybe next quarter" or "we are prioritizing our internal roadmap." Their (pretty well designed we have to say) Crash and Towers sat on a shelf, gathering digital dust while the studio burned through their remaining runway.
The opposite and even a harder hit
Desperate to move, they pivoted to a boutique provider. This smaller aggregator promised agility and personal touch. "We are ready to go," they said. When the developers looked under the hood, nothing was technically ready. The RGS was a skeleton. There was no load balancing, and the API was a mess of undocumented spaghetti code, partly written by AI agents. They had traded a slow giant for a fast amateur who couldn't actually deliver a stable environment.
The reality is going deep and doing the work that matters. Together.
Finally, they found an emerging, growing team that didn't lead with "vibes." They led with the "boring" stuff that actually makes money. The managers there looked at their games and gave it to them straight. "Your visuals are great, but your mechanics are from 2008" they said. “Let's fix it. Together”. They gave them valid examples and valid stats. How did very similar games perform in a similar market, under similar promo offers. What was actually driving the GGR. They rebuilt five titles using YoGames RGS. Proper RTP and Hit rate calibration delivered immediate traction. The portfolio has scaled to 11 games since then. They no longer pitch for lobby space, operators are now requesting branded versions of their games. They stopped guessing and started measuring.
Success Through Hard Truths
The studio stopped chasing "fame" and started chasing infrastructure. By integrating with the YoGames RGS, they finally got the technical backbone they lacked. They received validated math, certification-ready logic, and a team that actually analyzed player behavior to optimize their variances and mechanics.
Don't get buried in a 30-studio queue. Bring your gaming ideas to life.
